Location Narrative	Approached plot from N. Chalone Peak Trail, headed downslope and E. Site located above reservoir. History unknown. Plot located on ridgetop. Arctostaphylos pungens and Adenostoma. Most plants about 1-2 m. Ground gravelly, minimal ground cover. Hot and very dry. Plot on N (1 degree) facing slope. Rattlesnake rattled at us, on way to plot. Hummingbird flew over plot. Can hear the bees hovering over the Arctostaphylos pungens.
